About LongitudinalAnalysis.com

Many researchers turn to longitudinal data to address critical questions, but quickly find themselves lost, unsure where to begin, overwhelmed by complex methods, and faced with scattered or unclear guidance.

LongitudinalAnalysis.com was created to support their journey.

It offers practical tools, real-world examples, and clear explanations to help researchers learn how to collect data, choose the right models, interpret their results and communicate their findings effectively.

But its mission goes further. LongitudinalAnalysis.com exists to help researchers become independent thinkers confident in their methods, clear in their communication, and capable of producing insights that matter.

What We Do

We help researchers and organisations work confidently with longitudinal data through practical resources, real-world examples, and clear, applied guidance. Our mission is to make complex methods intuitive, effective, and part of everyday research practice.

What We Stand For

We’re guided by five core values:

  • Clarity: We believe great ideas should be easy to grasp. That’s why we break down advanced concepts into clear, structured explanations that guide and support our users.
  • Rigour: We combine methodological depth with hands-on learning. Every tool and example is grounded in real-world data.
  • Craft: We take pride in producing well-structured, effective learning materials. Every tutorial, tool, and example is carefully crafted to make complex concepts easier to understand.
  • Curiosity: We’re driven by curiosity and a love of learning. We explore ideas across disciplines to find the best tools, methods, and ways to teach them.
  • Community: We’re part of a broader research community and contribute back. We share what we learn, support open resources, and aim to raise the standard of applied research.

Meet the Creator

Alexandru Cernat is an Associate Professor at the University of Manchester, specialising in collecting and analysing longitudinal data.

Over the past decade, he has published over 50 papers and book chapters using advanced models to study how people and societies change. His work bridges survey methodology, social statistics, and data science.

This website brings together his experince and expertise offering practical tools, real-world examples, and clear explanations to help you master longitudinal data.
