1. About us
LongitudinalAnalysis.com is operated by Alexandru Cernat trading as LongitudinalAnalysis.com (“we”, “us”, “our”).
- Email: contact@alexcernat.com
Unless expressly stated otherwise, our courses and services are provided independently and are not provided, accredited or endorsed by the University of Manchester or any other institution.
2. These Terms
These Terms apply to longitudinalanalysis.com (the “Website”) and to courses, mentoring, digital materials and other services purchased directly from us.
The description of the specific product or service — including price, dates, format, content, prerequisites, recordings, bonuses and any special guarantee — also forms part of your contract. If it conflicts with these Terms, the description takes priority for that purchase. Purchases made through another platform (for example, Leanpub) are also subject to that platform’s terms.
3. Booking and payment
Your contract is formed when we or our booking provider send confirmation. The total price, in pounds sterling and including any applicable VAT, is shown before purchase and will not change after confirmation.
Payments may be handled by third-party booking and payment providers; we do not normally receive or store full card details.
If an employer or institution books for a participant, the person booking confirms that they are authorised to do so and that the participant has received these Terms.
4. Courses and services
We will provide paid services with reasonable care and skill and substantially as described. We may make reasonable changes to topics, examples, platforms or timetables where these do not materially reduce the service’s value. If we make a material change to dates, format, instructor or core content, we will notify you; if the change materially disadvantages you, you may cancel for an appropriate refund.
You are responsible for suitable equipment, internet access and any software or prerequisite knowledge stated in the description.
Certificates, where offered, are issued by LongitudinalAnalysis.com and confirm participation or completion only. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they carry no academic credit, professional accreditation or university endorsement.
Our content is educational. We do not guarantee any particular academic, professional, publication or analytical result. Statistical analysis requires judgement, and you remain responsible for checking your own work and decisions.
5. Materials, recordings and group sessions
The Website, course materials, code, exercises, templates and recordings belong to us or the relevant rights holder. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use supplied materials for your own learning and non-commercial research. You must not share, publish, sell or redistribute substantial parts of them, give others access to your account, or record a live session without permission.
The relevant description will state whether sessions are recorded and how long recordings remain available; our Privacy and Cookie Policy explains how recordings and participant information are handled. You may normally keep your camera and microphone off.
Do not share identifiable, confidential or sensitive information about research participants, patients, employees or anyone else — use synthetic, anonymised or appropriately de-identified examples. Other participants may see what you share in group sessions; everyone must respect confidentiality, but we cannot guarantee another participant’s conduct.
6. Your cancellation and refund rights
Within 14 days
If you book online, you may cancel for any reason within 14 days beginning the day after your booking confirmation. Email contact@alexcernat.com with your name and booking number, or use the model cancellation form below. You do not need to give a reason.
Any refund due will be returned to the original payment method without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your cancellation. This 14-day policy also applies where an employer or institution pays, unless separate written terms were agreed.
If you expressly ask for a live service to begin within the 14-day period, we may deduct a reasonable amount for the part already provided. If you expressly consent to immediate supply of standalone digital content and acknowledge that you lose your cancellation right, that right ends when supply begins.
Access to preliminary materials or bonuses included with a live course does not remove any more generous refund guarantee stated on that course’s page.
After 14 days
Any additional refund or money-back guarantee stated on the relevant product or service page will apply. Otherwise, refunds after 14 days are not automatic: we may consider a transfer or refund where we can resell the place, taking account of our reasonable costs and loss. Non-attendance does not normally entitle you to a refund.
7. Cancellation or changes by us
A course may depend on minimum enrolment; any threshold and confirmation date will be stated in its description. If we cancel before a service begins, we will refund the full amount paid to us. Any entitlement to keep bonuses or materials will be as stated in the relevant description.
If we reschedule or cannot deliver part of a service, we will offer a replacement or reasonable alternative. If that is not reasonably possible, or a material change prevents you from attending, we will refund the affected part. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs unless the law requires otherwise.
8. Conduct
Participants must behave professionally and must not harass others, disrupt teaching, misuse access links, compromise security or infringe anyone’s rights. We may restrict or remove someone for serious or repeated misconduct; any refund will take account of the service already supplied and our reasonable loss.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for breach of your statutory consumer rights, or for anything else that cannot legally be excluded.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that we did not cause or that was not reasonably foreseeable.
If you purchase wholly or mainly for business purposes, our total liability relating to a purchase will not exceed the amount paid for it, and we will not be liable for indirect loss, lost profits or lost business, except where liability cannot legally be limited.
10. Privacy, complaints and law
We process personal information as described in our Privacy and Cookie Policy. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services we do not control.
Send complaints to contact@alexcernat.com with your name, the relevant purchase and a brief description of the problem. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and respond within 14 working days.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain any mandatory rights and access to the courts available under the law where they live.
We may update these Terms for future purchases. The version in force when your contract was formed continues to apply to that purchase unless the law requires otherwise or you agree to a change.
